Sanding and finishing is the absolute best way to restore a wood floor. Solid wood as well as engineered flooring can be sanded, stained and finished new! Here is a white oak sand and finish job. You can see the old finish being removed by the sanding machine. We always take pride in keeping clean with dust by using vacuums and plastic. Every job gets a wipe down as well to ensure we keep it as clean as possible! 

Sometimes you don't need to sand to raw wood. A cleaning or top coat is a good choice for restoring the finish with a new coat that will help maintain the longevity of your flooring. Not to mention will look so much better!

It's important to have a flat floor. To code. It's also just as important to protect your floor from hydro-static pressure from the concrete and moisture issues. Cleaning the concrete and installing a moisture barrier so you don't have a failed floor is a must! The moisture barrier is put down first, then the self leveling concrete on top followed by the floor installation.
